A great start to 2010. I lost my civil engineering job end of January...Testing times ahead.
A couple of my good friends adviced me that I should take this time off when looking for the next job and get the GMAT out of the way, good advice but it is hard to calm your nerves when you don't know how you are going to pay your bills a couple of months from now let alone attend business school.

sorry to hear you were laid off! did this happen today?
ReplyDeleteI got laid off end of january. I did not see it coming as prior to that I was working a good 50 hour week, sneaky corporations don't fill you in til the last minute. Currently I am looking for a job, so we'll see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteOh Boy! I'm so sorry for you. I faced a similar situation 2 years back when the start-up where i worked dissolved.
ReplyDeleteBut don't be disheartened, try to calm your nerves and as you mentioned, take this time to prepare well for your GMAT! Good luck.
Sometimes these things happen for a reason. Now you get to take the GMAT and get your MBA:) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for the encouraging words. I might have lost a few months but I might just be back on track
